HOW IT STARTED

7 years ago Pabst decided they needed a comprehensive art program. So I packed my bags and headed to Los Angeles to do exactly that. During that time I built PBRART into a brand with-in brand. Today it’s an industry leader and the defining voice for a 175 year old company.

The Pabst Blue Ribbon Art Can Contest began in 2014 and since its inception, it has placed original artwork on over 300 million cans of PBR. It has also awarded over $100,000 to emerging artists. The PBR Art Can Contest gives artists the opportunity to re-imagine Pabst Blue Ribbon’s iconic cans, and customers the chance to hold original art in their hands.
