PROJECT PABST

In creating the Project Pabst festival in 2014, Pabst Brewing Company hoped for it to be a "love letter to Portland". Due to the success of the first festival, Project Pabst was later extended to include Denver, Atlanta and Philadelphia.

As Brand Manager of Art at the time, I was fortunate enough to produce all of the festival branding for years 2 and 3. With our focus on hyper local, I commissioned an artist in each city to create the branding for their cities event. This included printing the festival branding on millions of cans in each city.

The Project Pabst Unicorn is a symbol Pabst Brewing Company created six weeks before the inaugural event. We even created a 22 foot Unicorn, which stood at the center of the festival. There's a myth in Portland that the city was built on a Unicorn burial site and that it used to be the “city of Unicorns.
